I
recently went to radio shack to look at tape recorders to
use for this new recorded journal, but I found that the
little portable tape recorder which I already posses will
work just fine for now. So I am using it today in the truck
for this first journal entry in this brand new recorded
journal.
I
have high hopes that this journal, recorded while I am driving
to and from the musical programs which I perform for the
elderly, will be a journal I actually have time to keep.
It seems to me a wonderful and quite practical format, and
I am excited about its possibilities!

In
this new recorded journal, I hope to be able to record the
goings on of my life, and how I am progressing: spiritually,
as a person, as a performing artist, as a poet and writer.
I would like to make commentary on what I am reading, what
I am learning from my reading, and on what I am learning
from my life and work.

I
think it will be grand to be able to put down in recorded
form all the thoughts that I have about all I see and experience.
This is so important for an artist, for a writer, and has
been very hard for me to do since my life is so busy.
It
strikes me that a recorded journal would be a wonderful
thing for anyone to undertake. All of us are the writers
of our own journey, the painter creating the mural which
is our lives. It's so important for all of us to note our
thoughts, to monitor where we are going, to solidify our
aspirations, dreams, desires, and take stock of how we are
progressing towards them.
And,
its wonderful just to notice how beautiful the world is,
and how we are moving along in it, as we fulfill our destinies
here on earth. I hope some day to write all this down, and
create a series of journals which might encourage others
to try this little experiment I am undertaking.
